"An EYEBALL View of Blake's Songs of Innocence and
Experience" in Computers in the Humanities, ed. J. L.
Mitchell (Edinburgh: Univ. of Edinburgh Press, 1974), pp. 94-108.
Although a few significant differences have been found between
Blake's two sets of thematically related poems, most measures
indicate that the styles are nearly the same. The data are presented
both to illustrate the methodology of the EYEBALL program, and to
provide a good stylistic descriptions of these poems. [Note: see
"The Use of Word-Class Distribution Data
for Stylistics" for a follow-up study.]
